Tiger Cubs
Our Tiger Cub program has been specifically developed with the special needs of our youngest students in mind. Children within this age group benefit from our curriculum which develops both sides of the body with symmetrical movements. When learning takes place in this balanced manner, both hemispheres of the brain are encouraged to develop simultaneously. Our Cubs learn to focus their attention, increase their confidence, improve their coordination and enhance their self-awareness. Best of all, they do this while having lots of fun!
To determine if your child is ready for our Tiger Cubs program, the following skills should be demonstrated:
* Able to mimic simple movements
* Successfully potty-trained
* Parent & child willing and able to be separated
* Able to follow simple commands
* Able to throw a ball
* Attempts or is able to catch a ball
* Able to stand still for 10 seconds
* Responds to name
Instructors will exercise their best judgment to determine if your child is ready for our Tiger Cubs Program.

Boot Camp
The Benefits:
Enrolling
in a NC fitness boot camp is the optimum way to
lose weight, lose inches, get physically fit and to
learn a healthy lifestyle to keep the inches and
pounds off. The long term benefits are extensive,
and well worth the financial investment in ones
self.
The
Food plan:
Each
participant is asked to follow a simple food plan
that is not overly restrictive, is highly
nutritious and does not require calorie counting.
Motivated boot camp participants will begin to eat
balanced meals and learn the healthy benefits of
doing so.
Weight
loss:
Students
have an opportunity to achieve dramatic weight loss
in a healthy way. Students who are determined and
motivated enough to follow the food plan, maintain
excellent class attendance by showing up at least
90 percent of the time, remain focused and put out
100 percent effort during class sessions will
achieve dramatic results in terms of weight loss,
body sculpting and physical appearance. The biggest
problem some highly motivated boot camp
participants have is trying to keep their clothes
from falling off before getting to the clothing
store to buy a different wardrobe.
Flexibility:
Flexibility
is essential to maintaining a full range of motion
throughout one’s lifetime. Age has a way of
stiffening our bodies, and over time limiting our
ability to do the things we love. Each class
session devotes a significant amount of time to
different forms of stretching including, yoga
exercises, active-isolative stretching, static
stretching, and PNF stretching, to gain flexibility
in a variety of ways to meet varying circumstances.
Conditioning:
Each
class session will devote a period of time to
Cardio conditioning. Tuesday and Thursday sessions
will focus primarily on aerobic, cardio
conditioning. This will be achieved through
calisthenics and cardio-kickboxing.
Core strength/abs:
Each
class will devote time to core-conditioning,
strengthening the torso, stomach and back.
Motivated boot camp participants feel great as they
lose inches around the waist, decrease back pain
problems and gain core strength.
Strength
Building:
Every
class has exercises that build strength. On Monday,
Wednesday and Friday there is an emphasis on
resistance training to tone the participants’ body
and build strength. This is achieved by strength
building calisthenics, use of dumbbells and rubber
resistance exercise bands.
Intensity:
Every
class is extremely intense. Despite marketing
claims of other programs, there is no way to obtain
optimum results except through intense workouts.
Every student does what they can, and find over the
course of the camp their ability to complete the
exercises will increase dramatically.
Group
accountability:
This is
the ingredient that is missing in most fitness
programs. An individual working out on their own
has no accountability to anyone. They have no
accountability to show up. They have no
accountability to maintain a high level of
intensity throughout their workout. The typical
fitness center drop in classes don’t have the
regular faces day after day. The boot camp
atmosphere develops accountability as well as
support. Students realize they “are all in the same
boat”. The high energy of the class and instructor
helps to build motivation and drive in the
students. The group effort is difficult to
duplicate because it meets the emotional needs of
every student in the program.
Motivation:
At the
beginning of the 10 week session, students attend
an orientation class where each student is weighed,
has their measurements taken, pictures taken, and
performs a fitness test. They are also asked to set
fitness goals for themselves. Progress is noted at
the 5 week mark. At the end of the 10 weeks
students are also weighed, measured, photographed
and the same fitness test performed. The
participant who makes the greatest strides in terms
of fitness will receive a worthwhile prize.
Cost:
We said
it before and we will say it again. The small
financial investment you make into yourself will
pay dividends over a lifetime. The boot camp is
very affordable, far less than the cost of hiring a
personal trainer. For the price of a couple of
latte’s a day you can have fun, find yourself in
great condition, and feeling better than you
thought possible.
